Students who receive this honor were placed in the top 10-15% of all submissions to this Midwest contest. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Program is the nation’s longest-running, largest, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Over the past 95 years, the Awards have recognized and encouraged artists and writers such as Sylvia Plath, Andy Warhol, and Truman Capote. Congrats on your accomplishment, Jada!
What is First Priority - Becky McGarrity - rmcgarrity@bths201.org
Times have changed, and America has seen a steady decline in spiritual influence from the local church while negative statistics like suicide, drug abuse, and violence are rapidly increasing. First Priority is about trying to reach high school students and offer them hope in a world that is becoming increasing difficult to live and thrive in today. We want students to feel welcome, loved, and cared for. Our student leaders are Allison Dyer and Chloe McIsaac.
